SkillBridge Fellow: Mission Growth & Strategy

IMPORTANT: This position is exclusively open to transitioning active-duty U.S. Military Service Members eligible for the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge program. Applicants must obtain command approval prior to the start of the fellowship.

Role Mission

SOFTwarfare is seeking a Mission Growth & Strategy SkillBridge Fellow to support awareness, engagement, and pipeline development for our cybersecurity and cloud solutions. This role is the "Intelligence & Information Operations" arm of our growth team.

You will gain hands-on experience working alongside marketing and leadership teams to connect mission-critical technology with public-sector and defense customers. This role is ideal for service members who are analytical, creative, and interested in learning how data-informed outreach drives organizational growth.

The Path to Full-Time Employment (FTE)

he primary goal of this fellowship is to evaluate for a potential full-time offer as a Growth Operations Lead or Marketing Strategist upon successful completion of the program and military separation. Success is defined by your ability to align messaging with customer priorities and contribute to a healthy mission pipeline.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

Campaign Execution: Support the execution of growth initiatives across digital channels, including email, social media, and industry events.
Mission Alignment: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure our messaging aligns with specific customer priorities and national security needs.
Performance Tracking: Help analyze campaign metrics and pipeline contribution to provide actionable insights to leadership.
Targeting & Research: Assist with audience research and "persona development" to improve the effectiveness of our outreach to government stakeholders.
Growth Operations: Support CRM and marketing automation workflows to ensure data hygiene and reporting accuracy.

Preferred Experience & Skills

Active-duty military member within 180 days of separation eligible for SkillBridge.
Interest or experience in communications, analytics, business development, or growth operations.
Strong analytical mindset with extreme attention to detail.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
U.S. Citizenship (Required for U.S. Government contracting).

Location: Hybrid/Remote (with ~25% travel to HQ in Prairie Village, KS).

Travel Note: You will spend approximately one week per month (or 25% of your time) at our HQ. This is especially critical during your first 30–60 days for hands-on technical training and team integration.
